Join us on a weekend of fun at Black River State Forest. Two forks of the Black River flow through this State Forest. High sandstone abutments overlook nearly 68,000 acres of pine and oak forest. Hopefully, we will have some snow for XC skiing and snowshoeing. If not, we can hike and bike along the many trails of the state forest.

Cabin Info:

The cabin is located approximately 15 miles northeast of Black River Falls. The two-bedroom cabin is furnished with an electric cook stove, refrigerator, kitchen sink, a flush toilet and shower, six bunk bed frames, radiant floor heat and a gas fireplace. Water may be shut off in December not giving us the shower/flush toilet. I'll have more info closer to the trip.

Mattresses and cooking utensils are NOT provided

Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin

No pets are permitted inside the cabin. All pets must be kept outside in order to maintain sanitary camping standards. An outdoor 5'x15' covered kennel is provided. Contact me prior to bringing your pet.

Located on site: a large outdoor fire ring, barbecue grill, horseshoe pits and volleyball net.

FIREWOOD RESTRICTIONS: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Firewood is available for $3/rack.

Campers are required to clean the cabin and surrounding area before checkout. Cleaning supplies are provided.

$15 fee includes cabin and reservation fees and $5 meetup fee. Fee required to RSVP. No refunds will be given for cancellations.
