What we're about

This group is open to all ages, single or not to enjoy getting together over a coffee or a meal out. The idea is to have fun and to let everyone know when there are some interesting local events such as live music, good film at the cinema, music festivals, theatre evenings and maybe a good pub night. We have risen from Chichester Social and Singles and New to Chichester and now hopefully we can offer a platform to advertise all that is fun and interesting in our wonderful town and surrounding area.

There is currently a £5 annual subscription to cover the Meetup site hosting costs, all members new and old will be asked to pay this if they attend any meetups whether signed in or not. If you come across any problems or wish to make any suggestions please feel free to do so by messaging me Laraine Nash directly by going on to my profile page. Good Luck and enjoy the fun.

I've a few seats left Rows F and G, discounted group price £31.50. Ideal family show. Message me for payment details.

Prohibition era, New York. A city full of mobsters, showgirls and dreamers. Rival gangster bosses Fat Sam and Dandy Dan are at loggerheads. The custard pies are flying and Dandy Dan’s gang has gotten the upper hand since obtaining the new-fangled “splurge” gun. Now, Fat Sam and his bumbling buffoons are in real trouble!

Enter Bugsy Malone, a penniless one-time boxer and all-round nice guy. All Bugsy really wants to do is spend time with his new love, Blousey, but will he be able to resist seductive songstress Tallulah and stay out of trouble long enough to help Fat Sam to defend his business...?

Alan Parker’s world-famous movie, which launched the careers of Jodie Foster and Scott Baio, becomes a spectacular theatrical experience in this revival of the universally acclaimed Lyric Hammersmith Theatre production. Packed with instantly recognisable songs from Oscar winner Paul Williams including My Name is Tallulah, You Give A Little Love and Fat Sam’s Grand Slam, Bugsy Malone is a joyously uplifting masterclass of musical comedy!

The Jeremiah -- Irish Folk Night at Chidham Village Hall

Chidham and Hambrook Village Hall

The Jeremiahs is an Irish folk band that comprises four musicians who have come together with the common goal of writing, composing and performing folk songs and music. They have travelled extensively, bringing their music far and wide and are heralded as a live band not to be missed. With a wonderful mixture of newly composed songs and tunes in the folk genre and a well selected catalogue of older folk songs, they are sure to rouse all the emotions.
Hailing from County Dublin is singer Joe Gibney on vocals. On fiddle, viola and vocals is County Cork’s Niamh Varian-Barry (formerly of Solas). On flutes and whistles is the French born Julien Bruneteau and on Guitar is Dublin born James Ryan.
“Great songs, poignant, emotional vocals, masterful guitar and fiddle/flute conversations that work like fine embroidery – no wonder critics love them. You will too!” – Larry Groce, host of NPR Music’s “Mountain Stage.”

Doors open at 7.30pm.
Licensed bar.
The Barleycorn Tavern, which is a stone’s throw from the Village Hall, are very kindly offering ticket holders 2 for 1 meals before the concert. You’ll need to call them and book at least 3 days before the event, and will need to show either your ticket or your wegottickets email. You can view the menu and find contact details here.
