What we're about

We are a fun, accepting, respectful group of people who have chosen not to have children, for one reason or another*. It can be hard in a baby-centric society to find others who have made similar decisions! The majority of us are in our 30's and 40's, but all are welcome! (both couples and singles are welcome, but this is *not* a dating/hookup group). We have a variety of activities, including dinners, wine tastings, book discussions, and other outings. Beginning Oct. 2018 with the new leadership of the group, most of the meetups will now take place along the Northshore and in the first ring north suburbs. (Think Park Ridge, Niles, Skokie, Evanston as "first ring".). Some events may still take place in the city as well.

*While this is a child free group, we respect and remain sensitive to the fact that people choose to be child free for various (sometimes unexpected) reasons. You don’t ever need to share *why* you’re child free. Group members are held to a high standard of respect for each other’s privacy and personal choices. While this has never been an issue in the past, there are measures in place to enforce this if it ever comes up. Please communicate any concerns to the Organizer. This is a safe supportive space!

**There is no fee to be in this group - Organizer covers the meetup cost as a courtesy to the members.**

IMPORTANT: No-shows and last-minute RSVP changes are *not* fun (and terribly difficult to plan around). Please be courteous and keep your RSVP updated. Prior approval from the Organizer is required before inviting non-members. Failure to follow this will result in removal from the group.

When we meet at a restaurant/bar, or at a person's home, members may partake in drinking alcoholic beverages (usually byob at a person's home) - This is not only acceptable, but has not been a problem. That said, if being around people drinking alcoholic beverages is not comfortable for you, please consider this before joining the group/attending a meetup.

Organizer reserves the right to remove members who do not honor the policies on this page or who become inappropriate, unpleasant, disrespectful, or are a detriment to the experience of other members in this group. We are all here to meet new people, have interesting open-minded discussions, and respect each other. This is an accepting non-offensive environment.

Any questions regarding this group or policies can be directed to the Organizer of the group.
