Are you looking for a way to integrate the spiritual practices of mindfulness and compassion with your child's experience and knowledge of Christianity? Parents and families with children age 3- Grade 3 will meetup in local libraries to engage in contemplative practices and active exploration of Bible stories! Storytelling with hands-on materiels combined with child-friendly mindfulness exercises will encourage open wondering and inspire play about the Sacred texts! Come practice making silence, internal reflection and opening your hearts with your children!

Families and Children join the Beloved Sunday multigenerational worship gathering via Zoom. Simple singing, community prayers, and a bible story will be shared in a child-friendly way. Children are invited to independently respond to the bible story using materials of their choice as adults engage in discussion with one of our talented pastors. Sometimes families and children have their own breakout room, too! All are invited to share in an open and inclusive table celebration of the Lord's Supper. Families in each household decide how their children will receive the sacred elements (selected from your own cabinets). Children are welcomed to share their "work" and responses as we offer our closing song and prayer. Candle (any kind) and a way to light the candle Crayons/Markers/Colored Pencils Drawing Paper Communion/Feast: (Juice, Crackers, etc.) You are also welcome to bring pipe cleaners, play-do, scissors, tape, and other craft supplies. Worship and Wonder invites children to experience Bible Stories in mindful, hands-on ways. Following the model of Sonja Stewart's "Young Children in Worship," the stories of the sacred texts are brought to life with natural materials of wood and felt. Trained storytellers offer the words of the stories and gently wonder aloud with the children allowing questions and curiosity to grow.
