Dog Policy

As a group we allow and enjoy dogs on our walks however we would like dog owners to follow some points.

Dogs must remain on the public right of way and not stray onto open private farmland. Dogs must be kept on a lead if farm animals are present or whilst walking or crossing roads. Please also ensure local wildlife are not disturbed.

Keep your dog in sight at all times, and be confident it will return to you promptly on command.

Ensure it does not become a nuisance to other walkers or members of the public and is on a lead and by your side during lunch breaks and clean up after your dog.

This is not an exhaustive list and the main point is to make sure your dog or dogs are under effective control.

For more information see the Natural England Website the government's advisor on the natural environment and their dog advice, which is what this policy is based on.
