China Hands NYC is having another meetup! Come join us!
China Hands are invited to meetup at WeWork Charging Bull on the 10th floor, in New York City's financial district, at 7pm on Thursday October 29th.
Composer-ethnomusicologist Juliane Jones (http://www.julianejonesmusic.com) writes hybrid popular music that blends traditional Chinese concepts and timbres with Western popular music. She will discuss the process and concepts behind her new songwriting project, Ragged Silk, that integrates traditional Chinese music genres of guqin, pipa and xiao music, Chinese opera, and Buddhist chant into Western popular music idioms.
We'll be providing good beers, drinks, and snacks, and we're thankful for your $10 meetup contribution towards the costs of staging New York's best China Hand networking community.
Due to strict building security, PLEASE RSVP before the event to have your name placed on the guest list. Security will not grant access to names not listed on the guest list.
