About the speaker:
Jason Inch has been writing about China's business and economic environment since 2007, first as a columnist at the Shanghai Star Business Journal and then as co-author of one of the first books charting the growing rise of China's economy, published in 2008, Supertrends of Future China. In 2012, he published his second book about China, China's Economic Supertrends, wherein he created the theme of the 'new China normal' to describe the changing economic and social environment of China then and going forward. The book was translated into Chinese and published as 中国超级经济 by the Central Compilation & Translation Press (Beijing) in 2013 and read widely within China.
Jason's newest book on China's economy is called The Man, the Plan, the Dream (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073VXG4HX). It is the first in a series of books in what he calls China 4.0 -- a new way to understand China's next stage of economic and social development.

Frequently Asked Questions about China Business Events:
Can I get a fapiao / official receipt?
As China Business Events is a Meetup Community, it cannot issue official fapiao receipts.
We can issue you a standard written receipt (a shouju) at the door after the main check-in has finished (in order to keep a line from forming). Please ask for details.
Is it okay to arrive late or early?
RSVP sign-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and food and beverages are served before 7 p.m. We usually start the presentation at 7:30 and the meetup has been scheduled at this time to allow people to finish work and get to the venue, which is in central Shanghai. Please try to get there before 7:30 p.m. for networking and to reserve a seat. Once full the venue will not allow additional attendees, no matter the time. The organizer will be there from 6:30 and in general we cannot guarantee early admittance.
Do I have to be a member or any special requirements to attend?
All are welcome at this event. Our usual attendance includes about 40 percent previous attendees and 60 percent joining one of our events (or a Meetup event) for the first time. Don't feel nervous about attending alone, CBE is a great way to meet new people, but do take advantage of our Bring a Friend discount if you prefer. See you there!
