Hey there...this just in from Habitat. Please update your RSVP as we are closing off sign ups. If you don't show up it will mean someone else was denied the opportunity to build with us.

Thank you for volunteering with Austin Habitat for Humanity! We’re excited your group is helping us build this Saturday!

As your project approaches, please be sure you and your team are prepared with the following:

Project Information

Location: 6806 Lucy Cove

Tasks: Shed and Fencing

Date: 2/16/12

Please have every individual in your group complete the 15 minute online orientation/registration at: The orientation and registration familiarizes first time volunteers with program and safety guidelines before coming to site.

After you and your team have registered, please remember to print and bring the required waiver of liability to site. In addition, please review your team’s specific tasks in our Construction Manual. We do have these on the site to sign.

On your project day, please arrive by 8 A.M, dressed appropriately, prepared for the weather and ready to work! Our staff works tirelessly to get families into their homes on time, and ask all volunteers commit a full day, (8 A.M. – 4 P.M.) when volunteering; Shifts and early/late departures break project momentum.

Lunch is not provided by Austin Habitat.  We ask that all volunteers provide and eat their lunch on-site, during the 11:30 lunch break; Eating on-site fosters project and team unity.  If you are with a group, please check with your team leader to see if lunch is being catered.

What to Bring

  • Liability Waiver - Please print and bring the waiver of liability completed during registration. We have these for you on site.
  • Water Bottle - In efforts to be greener and reduce waste, please bring a personal water bottle.

When bringing valuables, please leave them in your vehicles; there are no secure on-site storage for personal items.
