Grab a bite to eat and while you're at it some food for the soul. We meet once or twice a month to eat, drink, and casually discuss a short reading from a church father, some other Christian author, or the Bible. The amount of writings by the church fathers is absolutely enormous, spanning centuries, yet many Christians are unaware of what they said, for the most part.
Although we will lean heavily toward a conservative viewpoint and Catholic teaching and theology, all Christians are welcome to join us, whether Catholic or not. So if you want to increase your reading of the Fathers and meet new Christians, come on out and join us!
This is not a rigid, structured class but a laid-back, informal chat about God, hence the name.
I also envision the group occasionally taking a break from the usual Theo-Chat sessions to go out and spend some time doing some charitable works of service, like going out as a group to bring food to homeless people or volunteering at charitable organizations. In this way, we'd be "putting feet" to what we have been discussing in our regular chat meetups.

Last time we made it about halfway through the prologue of St. Cyril of Jerusalem's Catechetical Lectures, so this time we'll be picking up where we left off. The text can be found here: http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/310100.htm
I'll be wearing a faded black Nationals baseball cap. If you can't find me, ask the hostess where Jeremy is sitting.
There is plenty of free garage parking at this location (BJ's Brewhouse).
