We are going to use Kickstarter to sell badges. They will be $35 for a 3-day badge but a few will be sold as ‘earlybird’ for $25 and some for GM’s (anyone who volunteers to run at least two events RPG/Board game/Card game) can also get a $30 badge (supplies are limited). All told, we expect to have[masked] badges available. We have wrangled a few special guests to join us, currently that includes Rich Baker – long time writer for TSR and WOTC and the lead writer of the new DnD 5e module: Princes of the Apocalypse. He will be running some 5e games as well as demoing his in-development board game: Ultimate Scheme. Robert Schwalb – another long time RPG industry veteran who has numerous credits on D&D 3.5, 4.0 and 5e as well as on other RPG’s including the Song of Ice and Fire RPG and he recently successfully kickstarted his own RPG called Shadow of the Demon Lord. He will be running games of Shadow all weekend. Shawn Carman – long time lead writer of the Legend of the 5 rings RPG. We just added John Wick, prolific game designer and multiple Origins Award winner for both L5R and 7th sea.
James D’Amato and Kat Murphy from the One-shot and Campaign Podcast will be there As well DM Chris and DM Mitch from the DM’s Block podcast. We also have Matt Quiett from the Nerdsdomain podcast network coming. We are working on more special guests but nothing can be announced quite yet. It’s going to be 2.5 days of gaming. We are more focused on RPG’s but also expect board and card games. We have partnered with a local game store in Oxford, Ohio (1d6 gaming) who will be our only vendor on site. The store will be running some tournaments for us but other than a tournament there are no paid events. Once you’re in you’re in. We will be compiling a list of events and putting out a schedule prior to the event. There will also be open gaming 24/7.
