Keehner park hike
This is a 2-3 mile hike through rolling terrain with a couple of creek crossings. As with any off leash hike in this meetup, please only bring dogs who are dog and people friendly and have quick recall to owner. My cell phone number is[masked] if you have any questions or get separated. If you arrive late, we will likely have already left but I will put a note on the meetup about which direction we turned at the trail entrance. Thanks! Andrea

What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in off leash dog hikes throughout the Cincinnati Area.

We promote responsible dog ownership. Exercise, Discipline, and Socialization are our goals. We believe that off leash exercise partnered with good training practices make our pets happier and healthier. We will accept any dog and human partnership into our group, as long as they are willing to follow a few simple guidelines.
1) All dogs must be dog and child friendly. Some dogs can get into scuffles, but we keep our numbers low at any given meetup so that chaos is minimized.
2) Dogs must be kept on leash until we reach the designated hiking area. This is important for safety, as well as for consideration of everyone at the park, especially those who are not part of our group.
3) Off leash dogs must be able to be recalled quickly and consistently. This is again an issue of safety and consideration. We can help you with this! We have many dogs that are not used to being off lead when they begin. These dogs stay on lead until they learn the basics, and can join in when they are ready. If you are concerned, contact a member of the leadership team, and we can direct you on details of how to help you and your dog learn the ropes.
4) Be considerate of others at parks. Off leash dog walking is not allowed in most areas. It is only tolerated when dogs and humans are considerate of others. We must have a positive influence on ALL those we come into contact with, or tolerance of off leash hiking will quickly go away.

Let's explore some of the great parks in our area, get some exercise for ourselves and our dogs!
