"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any"(Alice Walker). The recent economic crisis have left many citizens feeling powerless, isolated, and angry. While economic problems such as unemployment, underemployment, poverty, deficits, debt, and taxes worry many, most citizens simply throw up their hands at the thought of understanding these subjects, not to even mention, doing something about them. The purpose of this group is to help citizens understand and use their economic power as citizens and take control of their economic lives by becoming citizen economists.
