What we're about

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. We have chapters across the country, including one here in Raleigh-Durham. We believe that politicians don’t create political will, they respond to it. Citizens who are well-trained, organized by Congressional district and with a good system of support can more than influence the political process. We lobby in support of our Carbon Fee and Dividend proposal through friendly relationships with our federally elected representatives; we write letters to the editor and op-eds; and we table at events to promote CCL and introduce others to our proposal. Every month, we participate in an international conference call where we learn more about how to be climate advocates and hear about the work people throughout the organization are doing. Your voice matters. Please join us!

Upcoming events (4+)

Meet other climate protectors and find your part (online)

Meet other people who think we have to do something about climate change, and start figuring out where you can fit in!

We spend part of every meeting in a webconference with chapters across the country, where we get to hear from a different speaker each month (details about the speaker are posted at https://citizensclimatelobby.org/monthly-speakers/ once available). Before and after the call, we'll get to know each other and work more on figuring out how we can build support for our bill to put a price on carbon. Everyone will be able to leave with something they can help with!
