Come learn how to transform fresh vegetables through fermentation into probiotic goodness. The process of fermentation increases the nutritional value of raw vegetables and creates beneficial lactic acid bacteria which can help support digestive health, boost your immune system, and improve overall health. You will learn everything you need to know to confidently ferment vegetables at home. There will demonstrations on how to make sauerkraut, seasonal pickles, and beet kvass (fermented beet juice). The workshop will also cover the healing qualities and nutritional importance of live-culture foods. There will be a tasting of fermented foods and all participants will receive detailed handouts with instructions, recipes, and resources.
