Do you grow food now or do you want to start growing food?

I grow herbs at home and work with a group of adult apprentices at The Youth Farm where we sustainably grow vegetables and flowers.

What neighborhood in NYC do you farm or want to farm?

I live and farm in Brooklyn.

Where do you grow food or want to grow food (i.e. community garden, back or front yard, window sill, rooftop farm, etc)?

What is the name of your project or farm (if relevant)?

The Youth Farm at the High School for Public Service

Please describe your project or farm (if relevant).

We grow on 3/4 of an acre at the Youth Farm: over 80 varieties of vegetables and over 80 varieties of cut flowers. Our main focus is educational farming, using a production model as a training tool. We run farm trainings for youth and adults, including an intensive 7-month urban farming certificate program (the one I was in and lead now). Our produce gets to the local community via a farmers market, our CSA program, and multiple restaurant accounts.
