Join with NJFCC and professional nature photographer, Roman Kurywczak, as he leads you through an educational how-to program designed to open up your eyes to the possibility of photographing landscapes with the star filled sky as a backdrop!

The subjects covered will be essential equipment as well as camera setting for both the Milky Way and star trails. In addition, he will discuss overcoming the challenges of focusing and composing at night and provide some tips on post processing the images. The program will conclude with a segment on “blending images” an important process as a result of new restrictions in the National Parks. Everyone will leave with a clear understanding of the techniques required and how to implement them out in the field. Questions will be encouraged during the entire presentation.

Roman Kurywczak, has been a professional nature photographer for over 17 years, conducting lectures and workshops across the globe. His boutique tour company, Roamin’ with Roman Photo Tours, caters to small groups (only 4) providing the ultimate learning experience for participants. Whether he is exploring Tanzania or standing before a roaring waterfall in Iceland, Roman’s energy and passion for nature photography is clearly evident. He is often found out west in Arches or Yellowstone National Park late at night photographing nighttime landscapes and calling it fun! Closer to home, Roman will spend countless hours doing macro photography. While he enjoys photographing insects, his favorite subject is flowers, which he always claims he is buying for his wife and he is sticking to that story. Roman’s wide range of experience makes him equally comfortable photographing landscapes, macro subjects, and wildlife whether he is at some exotic location or close to home.

Roman’s down to earth and easy to follow teaching style makes him a highly sought-after lecturer. He has given countless lectures and workshops across the country. As the author of several instructional eBooks on nature photography, Roman strives to share his passion for photography as others have shared with him. He resides in NJ, has been married to his wonderful wife for 31 years and has two sons.
