Is a marathon or half marathon on your “bucket list”? Then put us in your bucket as this eight hour marathon event leaves no person behind! The post-race party will continue long after you cross the finish line!

We’re bringing the USA FIT philosophy of fun and camaraderie to the marathon course, and we’re glad you’re thinking of joining us.

Our event is known as “Everyone’s Marathon” because we believe all athletes, no matter what their pace, should get the chance to enjoy the race experience. Athletes can take up to eight hours to finish this course, so no one is left behind.  All levels of runners and walkers are welcome to attend. The course is generally flat and well attended by spectators, and it’s also a certified Boston qualifier for those speedier runners wanting to travel east next fall. Participants will be well supported with fluids, aid stations, and medical personnel. And of course everyone gets a great finishers’ medal, T-shirt, and official timing. We hope to see you in Sugar Land January 29th!

Already registered but need to change your race?

You may change from one race to another until January 15, 2017 – or when a race fills.  There is a $35.00 administrative fee.  After January 15, no race event changes can be made.  Any race changes on race day will result in a DQ.  To make a change from one race to another, register here:  SWITCH RACE

What are age limits for the race?

Memorial Hermann Marathon: 11 years old
Fort Bend Kia Half Marathon: 8 years old
USA Fit 5K: no age limit if accompanied by parent. No pets.

All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the marathon course.

What are start and finish times?

This is truly “Everyone’s Marathon!” We will have sub-three-hour finishers and eight-hour finishers. Please note below that there will be two start times for Full Marathon participants.

4:30 a.m. start: All Full Marathon participants taking six or more hours to complete the race6:30 a.m. start: All Half- and Full Marathon participants expecting to complete in less than six hoursImmediately following the Half and Full Marathon start: All 5K participants

The course will close on a rolling eight-hour timetable starting at 5 a.m. You MUST complete the race by 12:30 p.m. The police will ask participants who fall behind the course pick-up to move to the sidewalk, and SAG wagons will be available to assist you to the finish if necessary. We want everyone to have a chance to complete their race, but our event permit only allows us to have the streets blocked on a rolling eight-hour time table, so we must adhere to the rules or be fined and denied a permit in the future.

    What’s the course like?

The Fort Bend Kia Half and Memorial Hermann Full Marathon participants follow the same course. The Half Marathon participants will make one loop of the course and turn toward the finish line as the Marathon participants begin a second loop. Participants will line up according to pace with faster runners in front and walkers behind. 5K participants will start after the Marathon/Half and follow 3.1 miles of the marathon course. This is a perfect opportunity to join in the excitement of a major event while only having to complete 3.1 miles!

    Timing Mats

There will be a timing mat at the start line, at the finish lines, and at the half way point (13.1) for full marathon participants.

    Water Stations

Water stations will be located about every 1.5 miles. There will be water and Gatorade at each station.

Port-A-Potties will be located at the start/finish area, and near water stations on the course with the first located at mile 1.8 miles.

    Safety/First Aid

There will be  course marshals at every mile, volunteers, police officers, two Fire Departments, and three police supervisors on the course. We also have a Medical Director and fully stocked Medical Tent at the post race party.

    SAG Wagons

There will be SAG wagons on the course to assist you. We hope you don’t need them but they will be there for you, just in case.
