With the often hectic pace and demands of life today, many people feel drained, stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind a calmer and more focused place so that you can accomplish your day with a clear and constructive mindset. A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation has been shown to significantly decrease a persons stress levels and improve their feeling of over all well being.
Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Helping you overcoming negative mind sets, exploring blocks, obstacles and creating a positive relationship with your mind and body is the purpose of our meditation group. Join us every Wednesday and see what meditation can do for your life.
This is a 45-50 minute meditation class. We will provide water, mats, blocks and straps as well as a bottled water. However, these may be limited - so please feel free to bring your own (as well as bring your meditation cushion if you have one). Everyone is welcome.
