Went down yesterday to enjoy Little Italy. What a beautiful place. When you turn down Mayfield Rd. it seems like you are in another part of the world. Tons of restaurants and shops. People are eating out on the sidewalk patios watching people pass by. And next Friday we are going to be one of those people sitting out on the patio at La Dolce Vita! Terry Tarantino is the owner and he also owns La Stradda on 4th St. Terry is quoted saying "Wine is a love and a passion. It is with my pleasure to my valued customers and friends that you enjoy and explore some of my favorite selections." Which he does have a superb wine list. With choices such as Sonoma Cutrer chardonnay, Crios malbec from Argentina and Seraphicam (Toscanal). Just to name a few. His wines start at $6.00 and up. Also he has a large menu with appetizers such as Bruschetta ( Tomato basil or spinach, feta and artichoke.), pizzas like his Venezia, (spinach, veal sausage, roasted red peppers, fontinella cheese) or dinners like Seafood pasta (calamari, mussels and shrimp sauteed in a fresh bail and garlic tomato sauce, served over fresh linguini.) Also he has weekly specials such as Chicken Saltimbocca (chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto, served with a tomato-gorfonola risotto, asparagus and a sage Madera demi-glaze. So come thristy and hungry and enjoy a part of Little Italy Italian style!
