Digital BBQ

Just wondering - does anyone have an interest in (or even better, knowledge of) digital BBQ, PID controllers, etc.

I have a Traeger wood pellet grill (http://www.traegergri...) and I know there are a number of people who have done some modifications from very basic changes (e.g.,) to extensive and impressive (e.g., http://www.smoked-mea... ).

I'm interested in coming up with a plan to produce a BBQ/smoker (hot/cold), probably based on my Traeger - but I'm open to a "purpose built" rig - capable of producing everything from cold smoked cheese to pit BBQ to pastrami (so LOTS of programable flexibility).

I also have a general interest PID controllers and other automation to food production (e.g. coffee / espresso, charcuterie, cheese making, etc.) and other household automation applications.

Anyone interested?
