Club Wine is in its infant state and we have been forming the concept and working on the particulars since 2008. We have tested the market and created festivals and different events through the years. In April of 2018, we set out to test Club Wine as a club open to the public. From April to October, we conducted research and concluded this is worth moving forward. There are three activities we focus on which make up our concept of wine edutainment and culture. Educate, Socialize and Entertain (ESE).
Educate your palate: Wine tasting is first, you must taste wine and multiple varieties to build an educated palate. How do you know what you like if you don’t explore? We have set forward to create wine events more in line with the everyday lifestyle and culture of a social Wino (Wine Infants Needing Opportunity…to educate the palate that is) and we do that by Socializing and Entertaining: We create activities you may not find in typical wine events or festivals and incorporate them into our own events and festivals.
What is the culture of Club Wine? We define it as the characteristic features of everyday existence shared by people in a place, time or activity.
Club Wine is not wine culture in itself, we are creating an expression for those who love to live while doing the things they enjoy in life through that which we find entertaining.
Club Wine is to be an enduring cultural symbol of fine life, where the role of wine edutainment will evolve over time, changing from wines symbol as the nectar of the Gods, Goddess, and Pharaoh’s, to an important source of nutrition, a cultural compliment to food and conviviality compatible with a healthy lifestyle or a masquerade of mischief and back again. This is what we call Edutainment. So let us hoist up a Jeroboam or Balthazar and toast to Bacchus, Oenophile’s, friends, Club Wine culture and edutainment.
Cheers! May we serve you well in our Club Wine World!
