St Lucia Day is a big winter celebration in Scandinavia in remembrance of St Lucia a 3rd century matyr. The story goes that Lucia was a Sicilian girl who wore a crown of candles and brought food to persecuted Christians who were living underground in the catacombs. Sadly Lucia was murdered for her faith which made her a saint and now 13th December is named after her.
So.... on that cheery note I thought we'd celebrate by visiting a few of Edinburgh's famous Swedish bars. The plan is to start off in Sofi's for a drink then head to Boda then Victoria and finish in Joseph Pearce.
This is a school night so it's not likely to be a heavy one. Feel free to come to one or all of the bars with us. Hope to see you there!
