How do you think technology can improve local governance?

I heard a study once that said the farther removed people are from the consequences of their actions, the more immoral they act- i think the internet allows for direct democracy, which i think will improve the world drastically

Are you familiar with the work of Code for America?

not much, but civic hacking sounds pretty great

What skills do you specialize in (e.g. Planning, Organizing, Archiving, Programming, Electronics?)

i think i'm pretty good at looking at systemic efficiencies and right now i'm building a metal shop. Electronics are a side interest, but i hope to get to them soon and I like DIY communities

hi there, my name is alex and i feel that both renewable energy and the internet (contrasted with oil and TV/radio medias) are decentralized, and I hope to help build a decentralized economy and society to go along with them
