Civic Action for Justice - National Day of Civic Hacking

RSVP via Eventbrite for updates: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/civic-action-for-justice-national-day-of-civic-hacking-tickets-68727875927 We'd like to invite you to National Day of Civic Hacking (NDoCH) on September 21st from 9AM - 4PM. NDoCH is a nationwide day of action that brings together civic leaders, public servants, designers, coders, and data scientists to partner with our local governments and tackle some of our toughest challenges. We’re particularly excited for this year’s event because we will be working on transforming the way government delivers services to those impacted by the criminal justice system. The day will cover: - Creating a user-friendly “Know Your Rights” site about criminal record relief. - Journey mapping/process mapping the criminal record relief (i.e., expungement, sealing, dismissal, reduction, etc.) process in South Florida. - Creating a services usability scorecard, which evaluates the services available to people seeking criminal record relief (i.e., expungement, sealing, dismissal, reduction, etc.) - Plus featured speakers!! - Breakfast and lunch provided. This year’s NDoCH coincides with National Expungement Week, an effort led by organizations across the country to help people in the process of clearing their criminal records. This is a great opportunity to work with partners who are already doing this important work, and lift up their voices in our community, while and being part of an effort to transform the record clearance landscape. We hope to see you then!
