Code for Montana unites developers, designers, and product managers with nonprofits, local governments, and other civic causes to make a positive impact on Montana communities.
Code for Montana is a local chapter of Code for America Brigade focused on improving the lives of residents of Montana. Our goal is to combine our expertise to build technology or provide technology education to make a tangible difference in the services nonprofits and local governments are able to offer.
As a new chapter, there are currently two initiatives slated for the rest of the year:
+ Every Tuesday in October we are pairing one volunteer in the tech community with 2-3 people from several nonprofit organizations to solve a technology need or problem the orgs face (i.e. volunteer technical consulting!); + In winter of 2019, we will begin working on our first small project as a group. We'll be accepting project submissions soon.
Please stay tuned for more information about each of these ^^
Even if you are new to tech, there may be opportunities for you to contribute by making connections and helping to find and arrange projects. No coding experience is required.
