What we're about

CodeHub (https://www.codehub.org.uk) is a place to code, share, and learn from one another, and make connections within the web industry. It is aimed at everybody who is interested in learning and sharing their knowledge, beginners and experienced developers alike. We are a chapter of OpenTechSchool (http://www.opentechschool.org/).

We run events (Hack nights, Dojos, workshops), organise mentorships and facilitate study groups - currently there is a Haskell group, and one for general web dev called WebDev101.

You can find more information about our various activities on the Codehub Wiki (https://wiki.codehub.org.uk/).

Get an invite to our Slack channel here http://slack.codehub.org.uk and post about ideas, find like-minded people and share news about web dev in Bristol (jobs, events etc).

WebDev101

Watershed

About WebDev101 is a self-directed study group for everyone interested in improving their knowledge of any subject in the field of web development. As we are not instructor-led, you will only get out what you put in to this group! The goal of WebDev101 is to help each other progress in our individual and/or group goals by providing a space and time in which to meet other like-minded developes and ask questions. CodeHub encourages members that are willing to mentor beginner/less experienced developers. If you’re interested in mentoring or finding someone to mentor you on a particular topic, please post on the #mentoring channel of our Slack group (http://slack.codehub.org.uk/). What to bring Your own laptop, a beginner's mindset, complete dedication to respecting others

Hack Night

Framework

Hack Night This is a chance for anyone with an interest in programming and web development to code, share and learn from one another. Whether you are an experienced developer or just learning to code, interested in design or programming, you are more than welcome. CodeHub also runs workshops, organises mentorships and facilitates study groups. Check out our website (www.codehub.org.uk) for more information. Please join the #hacknight channel on our Slack board: http://slack.codehub.org.uk Our Code of Conduct: http://codehub.org.uk/code-conduct --- What is a "hack night"? Hack night is a casual social coding event where people can come together to work on projects and learn new technologies in any language at any skill level. It is a good time to work on those projects on the "back burner" that you never have time for. Some people will have personal projects that they want to work on in a social atmosphere. Others may be interested in pairing up to work on a project or learn something new together, or work through some of the online coding challenges. Some people may be experts, others may be noobs, and others may just want to learn how to code - all are welcome!
