Community Coding

Bring your laptop and join the most supportive group of people learning code! The goal of our community coding sessions is to offer support to others who are learning code / working on projects while you work on something of your own interests. There is no pressure - everyone of every level is welcome! Don't be shy!

Never heard of #CodeNewbie? We pride ourselves on being the most supportive community of programmers and people learning how to code.

The group started as a weekly Twitter chat that connected people learning to code and has grown into a massive community that supports weekly podcasts, multiple weekly online meetups for various projects, and a helpful Slack chat. Interested in learning more? Join us on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. for our weekly Twitter chat.

This building is a private apartment building - when you enter, let the front desk attendant know that you are there for CodeNewbie. The room is up the stairs and down the hall.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Hello everyone, this is going to be my first meetup, I am very excited! I'm new to the city so I am still trying to get used to the traffic patterns and parking rules. My questions is - is there a possibility of finding a parking spot close the location or should I just take public transportation and not worry about it?

Hi Katya - we are excited to have you join! This location isn't very parking friendly, I would recommend taking public transportation if possible. I hope that helps!

Dec 4 in AM is the same time as contributor day for WordCamp US. I can probably stop by community coding during lunch break of WordCamp.
