We are mostly remote workers who use this time for work. The regulars show up whenever, say hi to everyone, and start working. We do, of course, talk to each other while working, but it's not a "networking" meetup.
INFRASTRUCTURE: There is good Wi-Fi, plenty of power outlets, and places for sitting and standing. It's not quiet, but it's also not loud.
TEMPERATURE: If it's cold outside, it's going to be cold inside Young Hickory. Bring a jacket. And if it's hot outside, the AC will be on, so bring a jacket.
FOOD: Young Hickory has coffee/tea, craft beer, cheese paninis, and romaine wedges. The menu is at http://younghickory.com/foodanddrink.
PARKING: There's metered parking on 30th and generally plenty of unlimited parking within a few blocks on the side streets.
ATTENDING: RSVP so we know to save you a seat. We generally sit at one of the communal tables at the front. Unless it's cold outside, then we sit in the back.
PS: There is a $1 per week contribution to help cover Meetup fees, so please help out if you can.
