• Deep insights and lessons learnt from the successful launch of AGL's chatbot

We are very excited to announce our next Meetup hosted by our premier partner in chatbot innovation - AGL Energy Ltd. AGL is committed to helping shape a sustainable energy future for Australia. We operate the country’s largest electricity generation portfolio, we’re its largest ASX-listed investor in renewable energy, and we have more than 3.6 million customer accounts. Proudly Australian, with more than 180 years of experience, we have a responsibility to provide sustainable, secure and affordable energy for our customers. Our aim is to prosper in a carbon-constrained world and build customer advocacy as our industry transforms. That’s why we have committed to exiting our coal-fired generation by 2050 and why we will continue to develop innovative solutions for our customers. In 2017, AGL launched a customer facing chatbot for the first time. This was after 12 months of prototyping, failing on a regular basis and learning at pace. This meetup shares their story of taking an idea from concept to commercialising on the back of a bootstrapped budget with some unconvinced stakeholders. For those of us in the customer service and esp. interested in the chatbot space, this is the must attend meetup to hear an incredible story and save your self many pitfalls.

  • Learn how Watson reads & discovers value from our data - text, pdfs, social...

We are very excited to invite you to our first Meetup of the year! We will have something for everyone, from first timers to veteran Meetup attendees. Two big features of this session are: • discussing and demonstrating the latest in cognitive technology, • introducing a new inspiring space for startups, freelancers & creatives Watson Discovery Service can help you find insights from your unstructured & structured data across a range of sources. You use it to enrich existing applications, websites or services like conversation bots... discovering 'long tail' answers to natural language questions, without modelling. Light refreshments will be provided; with an opportunity for networking and deeper discussions. 5.45 for a 6.15pm start. All wrapped up by 8pm. Really looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the Dream Factory (image below).
