    Dally Gap

Join us as we hike to the Jacks River and repair water bars for erosion control. We'll have great winter ridge-top views on Penitentiary Branch trail today! Be prepared for a 12-mile round-trip hike, or we can split the group to allow those who want a shorter hike to work the closer trail segment. We will meet at Dally Gap and hike 2.3 miles to the beginning of Penitentiary Branch trail before starting to work. Tools and hard hats will be provided, and no experience is required. Bring a good attitude and a willingness to learn! What to Bring? Work gloves if you have them, sturdy footwear, lunch, 1-2 liters of water, and a daypack to carry it in. Be sure to layer up!
