Zen book discussion class?

Would anyone be interested in a six week book study of some Zen classic? I'd like to know more Zen meditation and how it looks different from Tibetan Buddhism. I could set it up through the Lighthouse if we had at least 6-8 people who wanted to participate.

Ben, The Zen classics that are chanted in Chan/Zen meditation halls are: The Heart Sutra and the Diamond Sutra. Both emphasize the teaching of Nagajuna on emptiness.
I would recommend the editions with commentaries by Mu Soeng, A Korean/American, formerly an abbot. His commentaries are brilliant and very contemporary in focus. I have studied both over and over again.
Another classic is Trust in Mind also with commentaries by Mu Soeng. Sorry I can't attend as you would meet at night, and I don't drive now at night. .

Sounds like a good idea as long as it isn't on Sundays - Nancy
