Fermenting beer releases CO2 into the atmosphere:
Superior Ecotech tackles a serious problem for America’s booming craft beer business: reducing brewery CO2 emissions in a cost-effective, sustainable way. The founding team are graduate students from Boulder and they love beer. In 2011, the founders discovered that craft breweries wished they didn’t have to release CO2 into the atmosphere as part of the beer fermentation process. Superior Ecotech spent the next few years developing a proprietary algae grower designed specifically for use at craft breweries to solve this problem. The solution involves turning waste CO2 from breweries into vegan omega-3 oils with their proprietary algae greenhouse.
