How can we leverage wealth to build cooperatives across class and race lines? Join the Colorado Cooperative Study Circle to discuss cross-class and interracial forms of organizing, investing in, and funding cooperative enterprises.

1. Introduction
2. Case Studies from Resource Generation — Mac Liman
3. Case Studies from Cooperative Investment Clubs — Paul Bindel
4. Small group discussion
5. Large group discussion

First, we'll hear from Mac Liman, a regional representative of Resource Generation (RG). RG organizes young people with financial wealth to leverage resources and privilege for social change. We'll hear case studies about how they have funded Colorado social movements and campaigns, particularly those led by people of color.

Second, we'll discuss cooperative investment clubs as a way to address undercapitalization in cooperatives. Paul Bindel will present case studies from cooperative investment clubs in Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

We'll follow these case studies with a discussion on how we might apply these lessons to Colorado cooperatives, how the Colorado cooperative movement can more consciously cross race and class lines, and how a Colorado cooperative investment club might be organized and operate.
