You are welcome to come as a guest on a limited basis, please contact the event leader for more details.

The riding at Texas Creek is easy to intermediate, the weather should be good due to the lower elevation, and it's always fun to get together after a day of riding with some good food, friends and a campfire.

Scheduling early this year so we are not back to back with the Moab trip. This event will be dependent on favorable weather.

Directions:Take Hwy 50 west of Canon City towards Cotopaxi, look for Freemont county road 27.  Turn right and cross the one-way bridge over the Arkansas River. When you come to the RR Tracks, cross them and go across the cattle guard. There will be CQR signs pointing the way to camp. GPS coordinates[masked], [masked]

Camping: Camping is dry with no services.

Agenda: There will be no formal organized rides on Friday.  The Saturday ride will start around 10:00 a.m. Please feel free to come for the day if you do not want to camp. We will have a camp fire in the evening, unless there is a fire ban.

We will have a pot luck dinner Saturday evening at 6:00 pm, so please bring your favorite meal or appetizer to share.

Ride: Trail Difficulty in this area ranges from Easy to moderate with a few difficult spots. The trail ride will mostly be in the Moderate range.

Width Restrictions: Some of the trails (approx. 30%) are limited to 50"
