Colorado Springs Cycling Club Pages

Colorado Springs Cycling Club (CSCC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide a variety of bicycling activities. We have weekly rides, annual rides, member meetings with educational topics & parties, and training. For non-club rides such as Elephant Rock, we use Meetup to let our members know who is planning to attend so they can carpool and possibly ride together.

Try before you buy. Signup on CSCC MeetUp and join us for a ride. Then, if you would like to become a member of the Colorado Springs Cycling Club, go to the CSCC Registration Web Page where you will sign the “LAB (League of American Bicyclist) Waiver", fill out the registration form, and pay your annual dues. Note: LAB allows you to do the first ride without becoming a member of CSCC. If you decide CSCC is not for you, further access to the CSCC MeetUp site will be limited after 30 days.

Bike ride categories:
CSCC has defined a group of Bike Ride Categories to help riders find rides that match what they are looking for. (click for details)

NOTES: Please see the ride description for category exceptions. For example, a “green” ride may have a steep hill (after all, this is Colorado). Most of our rides are “no-drop” where we have a “sweep” and a “post” person at turns to make sure no rider gets left behind. For other “no-drop” rides, faster people will wait at the top of the hill or circle back to do the hill a second time. The faster riders will also wait at convenient and safe regrouping points along the way. Please try to select rides that meet your skill level. It is perfectly fine for very fast riders to ride an easy day on a slower ride. If you over estimated your skills – no problem – please come back and try a different category. For predetermined routes, the ride leader will have a limited number of “Route Maps” at the start. It is advised to print a cue sheet or load the GPS file in your phone. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR A BICYCLE HELMET.

MeetUp Organizers: Anyone can request to add a ride to the calendar. Its easy! You can either go to the "Ride Library" and select an existing CSCC route, or if you have a favorite route in mind go to "Ride with GPS" create a route, and post the URL with your ride description. The CSCC Meetup organizers will be happy to help you with this part. Print a “Rider Sign-In Sheet” and take it with you to the start of the ride so all riders can sign the waiver. Do your best to follow the “Ride Leader Guidelines” . When the ride is over, follow the instructions on the Rider Sign In sheet to return return it to CSCC so the ride information can be recorded.

Types of rides & events:
Weekly: These rides are standard reoccurring club rides (mostly during the riding season).
Special: These club rides are usually once a year.
Sponsored: These are commercial or non-profit sponsored rides. NOTE: Signing up on this MeetUp site only lets others in our club know that you plan to go to this ride. That way, you can find people of your same ability to ride with.
Meeting: Designates a club meeting, Board meeting, or club party.
Training: Skills building.
