• Crosspost: Denver PrideFest

    Civic Center Park

Denver PrideFest takes place annually in Civic Center Park. PrideFest features the PrideFest Parade, a Dance Stage with DJs, a Latin Stage with cultural programming, and the Center Stage with live entertainment, and plenty of celebrating both days. PrideFest honors the lives and achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people everywhere, raising funds for The Center--a nonprofit organization that provides year-round programs and services for the LGBTQ community. The festival also features more than 250 vendor booths with arts, crafts, food and more. The mission of Denver PrideFest is to create a fun, safe and empowering space to celebrate and promote the heritage and culture of the LGBT and allied community in Colorado. The Freedom from Religion Foundation - Denver chapter will be at booth I-24, and The Denver Secular Hub be at Booth K 22.

  • Enjoy Liberal Political Speeches and dozens of other Dems.

    Johnny's Navajo Hogans

Congregate with the Colorado Springs Dems Club on the 2nd Monday of each month. This is mostly a social event with guest speakers. Expect 30 minutes of time to chat with table mates before and after the speakers. Be sure to mingle around the room and find old and new friends. Watch out for the gal at the sign-in table. She has been known to rant at visitors for no good reason. But once you get past her, folks are pretty nice. Free to attend. Drinks and food available for purchase. Children are welcome. • What to bring business cards, issue papers for your favorite causes, literature for other democratic candidates and causes. They seem to be picky about candidates who aren't long time Dems. Like that guy Sanders.! This group is not affiliated with any registered political party. They sometimes have Republican- sounding speakers, by I've been assured that they really are registered members of the Colorado Democratic Party. Go figure!! Enter the indian named bar and keep to the right. Then shift to the left of the giant TV screen. Through the door out onto the deck, and then into the back tent-like space reserved for liberals.
