Meat Chickens

Hello This will be our first year offering this program. We have been raising Broiler chickens for years but we normally sell them one at a time. We have found that in these hard economic times it is hard for folks to come down and put out 100 dollars all at one time. We have tried to try and do our best to help out. We have been raising hogs for families for some time now and charged a small monthly payment. We have decided to start a program for our Cornish cross chickens.

Our Program

We will take 10 Chicks and raise them for you. Here is the best part if one dies we will replace it free of charge. If you have ever tried raising baby chicks well then you know that it can be difficult. Chicks take a lot of work and time. They require heat from heat lamps and lots and lots of food and water. We raise Cornish cross chickens for our meat birds. They get up to 4 to 7 lbs in 8 to 10 weeks. We will extend a harvest date to get the weight up if we feel that they need it.

What we feed

We feed out Chickens commercial feed with a protein level of 22% plus. We also allow our chickens to free range. We give them bread from one of our local bakeries. As well as grow Barley fodder for them.

How it all works.

You will put a down payment of 25.00 dollars we will then bill you two more payments of $37.50 for a total of 100 dollars. We only bill our monthly payments on the first of the month. You will be given a tentative harvest date. We have been known to put off a harvest date to let the chickens get a little bigger. This price includes all processing and bagging. "Sorry but we do not cut up chickens. All chickens will be whole and shrink wrapped." See last picture.

Example of payments: 25 down payment 1st of the month 37.50 second month 37.50 for a total of 100 for 10 Cornish cross chickens.
