• Stoicism and Navigating the Holiday Season
This week we meet to discuss a timely topic: how do Stoics approach the holiday season with all of its attendant expectations, demands, attractions, and challenges? The holidays on our modern calendar bring us wonderful opportunities to show our affection for the people in our lives, but can also give us license to behave unwisely. As the holidays seem to amplify the normal challenges of everyday life, examining how we steer a safe course towards what is truly good, and away from what is really harmful, in these brightly-lit times will help us prepare to live well the rest of the year. The Colorado Springs Stoa meets on the first Monday and third Thursday of each month (excepting this one). Come join us for discussion about the ideas of Stoic philosophy and the application of these ideas in our everyday lives.
