THANK YOU all so much for the hard work and incredible goodies you provided. I just finished my huge bucket of sweets.... so delicious and sinful I couldn't stop until there was nothing left. Hard to elect a favorite. It was a huge pleasure meeting some of you. Forgive me if I forget someone, but I am horrible with names.... Kim, Lisa, Marilyn (and your adorable daughter who gave me an awesome hug!!), loved your GF crispy treat, incredible..., Scott (really yummy brownie), Amanda and your amazing lemon pie, Liz and your tastylicious gf chocolate coconut balls.... This was my 1st meetup with this group, not only the food was amazing, but also the members. Looking forward to more!!! :-))

I can't believe I'll miss this! I was really looking forward to the bake sale. Will there be freezable items? Anybody want to keep a few items in their freezer for me and I'll get them when I'm back in town? I'd love to support the cause (and get some of those delicious treats, of course)!

    April 17, 2013

    • Scott B.

Hi Manuela. My girlfriend is making several items, and we'd be happy to save some samples for you. Please feel free to e-mail me when you're back in town: [masked]

I'm hopeful but still don't know if I'll be able to volunteer that day. I'm sorry! It's the downside of having a job offer in the works. But I'll definitely be baking. I used to know some formula for how to come up with the perfect price to sell and still make a profit but have forgotten, so any ideas on how to price items?

    April 8, 2013

    • Kim R.

No problem We should be good with volunteers for the table. Baked goods can be dropped off at my house (southwest) the night before or the morning of or at the library around 11:30 Sat. We'll send out more details when we have the final list of bakers! Prices will be whole dollar amounts typical of what is charged in stores.

Okay, I'll plan on bringing them by the library. Not sure if this would be included in the additional details, but would you like the price on individual labels (I was planning on filling bags with 2 cookies, they're quite small) or on a larger card to be propped up?

I may be able to attend for a bit...

If anyone wants to volunteer to help mand the table (for the entire event or just for an hour or so), please let us know! We need help with this as well.

I'm planning to provide a sample of some of the items I'm bringing (especially the dilly casserole bread, since it's not a common bread). I hope that doesn't create too much confusion or work for the volunteers there. I'll provide containers, clearly marked as a sample, and for which items. I think that might help be a "selling point." If I end up being in town that weekend I'll definitely be there to help. ;-)

If I were to bake something (say, cookies or cupcakes) how many would I need to make? Any ideas?

    March 12, 2013

    • Kim R.

Whatever you could... probably about a dozen?

      March 12, 2013

On behalf of Vegan Life Colorado and VegFest, thank you all so much for doing this!! You are very appreciated!!
