Pre-Meeting Critique: Members are encouraged to bring one or two prints or larger to an informal critique/sharing by early-arriving members previous to the general meeting at 6:45pm or thereabouts.

This month's club meeting will feature: Our own BART BALDWIN
THE EMERGING WORLD OF DSLR VIDEO PRODUCTION: Cameras are not just for photos any more... Bart is a national award winning photographer with over 25 years behind the camera, a member of the Professional Photographers of America, and whose photographs have appeared in magazines, on-line publications (ESPN, ABC, various commercial websites), NASCAR programs and in newspapers around world. He won 1st Place in Canon’s first annual National Parks Contest - Landscape category. He has photographic experience in corporate events, weddings, photojournalism (Reuters), charitable events such as the Special Olympics, and has been on-location to photograph “behind the scenes” on thirteen projects of the television production of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Bart, along with fellow CCC member David Hartfield and Nature Photographer Bill Lea, has conducted photography workshops each year for the past four years in Charleston and Savannah. He also volunteers as a photographer as part of his church’s (NewSpring) “Stories” Team. Recently, Bart has expanded his photographic interests into the realm of video and has produced two videos for a special project to help women go through chemotherapy for breast cancer. 2013 Contests:
May 1, 2013 - Projected Image Photo Journalism Contest: Up to seven images per member on a photojournalistic theme, event or person. Imagine your photos in a newspaper feature article and include various images, such as long shot, medium shot, close-up, detail shots. An additional text image describing the presentation will be captions on individual images. Rename files to indicate your desired order of projection (01..., 02..., 03...etc.) including title image. Digital files should be resized to 1500 pixels on the longest side, in a folder with your name as the folder name. September 3, 2013 - “Anything Goes” Print Contest: Prints will be judged on entire presentation, including framing and matting.two photographs per member. minimum requirements: an 8x10 or larger framed print with or without matting. hooks or wires not required for this contest. [This contest is timed to coincide with state fair entry if you wish.check with for entry specifications & requirements.] November 5, 2013 - Projected Image Contest: Theme = “Essentially South Carolina”: Three images per member. theme is the ultimate judging files should be resized to 1500 pixels on the longest side.bring on flash drive or cd in a folder with your name as the folder name.
