Columbia Sip n Knit Pages

We'd love to have you join our group. We have four days that meet each week.

There are days that a Meetup is scheduled:
Tuesday morning group - 9:30 AM Panera Bread, on Dobbin Road, Columbia
Wednesday night group - 6:00 PM Panera, Bread, on Dobbin Road, Columbia
- 7:00 PM Wegmans, Columbia
Friday afternoon group - 2:00 PM Sidamo Coffee Fulton, MD
Saturday morning group - 9:30 AM Panera Bread, in the Columbia Mall

Please visit with us at one or all of these locations. I'm sure one of our groups will be a great fit for you! We have every level of crafter from very experienced, to some who are learning with us. Even if you have never picked up a knitting needle or a crochet hook but have a desire to try, you will have a great time. Someone is always willing to show you how to get started and what to do next.

From time to time we do a charity project. We've had a knitting event to make Comfort Dolls for orphans in Africa; scarves for the Red Scarf Project; Chemo hats for The Claudia Mayer Foundation; scarves for the vets in hospitals; and helmet liners for the soldiers serving in Iraq. At Christmas we had a toy drive for the children at Hopkins. We just sent 180 hats to Lovely Yarns in Baltimore to give to inner city kids.

You are never required to join in any project - do as much or as little as you like. Every once in a while one of our members offers a mini workshop or a knit a long and we have seen how much fun it is to "knitalong".

Basically we are a group of happy knitters and hookers with open hearts. We'd love to have you join our ranks. But don't blame us if you suddenly find you have too much yarn or too many projects. It's contagious!

We learn from each other and enjoy the whole process of crafting with yarn. All fibers welcome!

Please join us for for any of these events - you'll have a blast.
