Knitting Behind Bars needs your continued support.

We have almost completed our Comfort Doll project with our inmate knitters. These dolls will be given to Baltimore County Social Services next week.
This project has really resonated with our knitters.

Now we are beginning a hat making project for the inner city school that Lovely Yarn has continued to support this year.
What we need is more Vanna's Choice yarn, any color will be fine. They are yarn snobs and only Vanna's Choice is being used. So, please stop at Joann's or Michaels or even Wal Mart and buy us a skein to use.

In addition we need #8 16" circular needles to make hats for these kids. The guys think using circular needles is cheating, no purling! A few even use double points.

We have several dozen necklaces. They are yarn ball beads, silver or black,or copper, that have either a sterling silver chain or black elastic cord. Please see Sheila or Lynn if you would like to purchase one as a donation. We are asking for a donation of $15 for the ones with black elastic cords or $20 for those with the sterling silver chain. We'll use whstever funds we raise to keep replenishing our supplies.

Thanks for your donation of books. More than 1900 books have been distributed to the entire prison population.
Hardly a week goes by without some random inmate stopping us and thanking our knitters in Columbia for their generosity.

Thanks again for your continued support,
