Set in Poland in 1962, Ida follows an eighteen-year-old novitiate nun on the verge of taking her vows who discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the Nazi occupation. DESCRIPTION: Set in 1962 Poland, an orphan is brought up by nuns in a convent. Before she takes her vows, she longs to see her only living relative. When she learns of her Jewish roots, both women start a journey not only to find their family's tragic story, but to see who they really are and where they belong.
