What is your favorite movie genre (action, animation, classic, comedy, documentary, drama, horror, independent, musical, romance, sci-fi, suspense, etc.)?

My favorite movie genres from above, in order, are: comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, suspense, independent, documentary, classic, musical, romance, animation This is a fun little website:

What is your least favorite movie genre?

I suppose my least favorites would be romantic comedies and japanese animees. I'm particular about musicals, also, and I have to be in the mood for an old black n white classic.

Would you automatically go see a movie simply because a certain actor or director is involved in it? If so, who?

Sure. Certain actors and directors establish the character of the movie. Some directors and actors like to work with the same people. I like Wes Anderson, Ed Norton, Michael Cera, Bill Hader, Bill Murray, Jeff Bridges, Seth Rogen, Sigourney weaver, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kevin Spacey, Robert Downey Jr, Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington, George Clooney, Joss Whedon, Parker Posey, George Romero, Jesse Eisenberg, J.J. Abrams, Will Ferrell, Jason Bateman, Dustin Hoffman, Mark Wahlberg, Fairuza Balk, Christian Bale, Joel & Ethan Cohen, Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Tina Fey, Robert DeNiro, Jason Reitman, Ben Stiller, Cameron Crowe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jason Lee, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Adam Sandler, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Nicholas Tse, John Turturro, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi...

What are your top 5 (or 10) favorite films of all time?

The Big Lebowski, The Fifth Element, American History X, Leaves of Grass, Almost Famous, Star Wars, Indiana Jones & The Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghostbusters, The Freshman, Raising Arizona...

Hi, I'm Jay. I've met some really good people through this movie group, and I love going to the meetups to see movies and then go out for dinner and conversation afterwards. Some of us go karaokeing after that. It's been a lot of fun with this group.
