These sessions are suitable for those aged at least 50 who are complete beginners, returning to dancing, and beyond the beginner stage.
You'll learn routines that include something for everyone i.e. figures providing a range of levels of challenge.
You can bring a partner or come on your own - you'll have the opportunity to dance with everybody.
You can dress up or down but wear shoes that are comfortable, attached to your foot at the heel, and are non-stick (trainers are not suitable, therefore).
We run every Thursday from 11am until noon (12pm).
The venue is clean, bright, warm, and ventilated. The dance area is large and the wood floor is excellent. Sign-in at reception and meet in the hall. The cost is £1 (yes, one pound), pay-as-you-go. It's inexpensive and huge value for money.
This is an ongoing activity, so this session is a good one at which to start. The sooner you come, the sooner you'll start enjoying yourself!
Also joining us are members of another meetup group: http://tiny.cc/goballroom-meetup

Cross the dual carriageway at the traffic lights. Use the steps on the left down to Norland Road or an incline on the right and further around. Pass The Stewart Arms public house on your right in order to reach the Edward Woods Community Centre.
It's a five-minute walk from Shepherd's Bush Overground Station. See "Underground" above.
The Edward Woods Community Centre is close to bus routes 31, 49, 72, 94, 95, 148, 207, 220, 228, 237, 260, 283, 295, 316, 607, and C1.
We recommend that you do not travel by car because to park in the street incurs a cost and space is difficult to find.
