What we're about

Come Out and Play! is a free, no-registration, no-obligation Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board program that encourages families to get out and enjoy nature. Join our playgroup leaders and their children in a natural setting for some unstructured play and exploration. Kids of all ages and their adults are welcome, including (of course) babes-in-arms. Each month we pick a new location in a Minneapolis park to explore.

Our weekday gatherings are geared toward stay-at-home parents/caregivers with younger children. Children of all ages are welcome, of course, but special consideration will be taken for stroller access, shorter hiking loops for little legs, etc.

Our weekend events are, as always, geared toward families and children of all ages, but will also include more adventurous play opportunities for school-age children.
