Meal and afternoon walk in Richmond Park: Deers, ponds & plantation

Afternoon walk in Richmond Park: Deers, ponds & plantation

20 April 2014 at 1:00 PM

Richmond tube/rail station

This is a circular after walk in one of the finest Royal Park in London.

Richmond Park is the largest Royal Park in London
(3 times of the Central Park in New York). It covers over 2,500 acres of open
grassland, ancient woodland, ponds and ornamental gardens. It is also home to
over 650 red and fellow deer and a variety of bird life.

The
royal connections to this park probably go back further than any of the others,
beginning with Edward [masked]). In 1625 Charles I brought his court to
Richmond Palace to escape the plague in London and turned it into a park for
red and fallow deer.

Richmond bar

The bar is called “The Lot” is a hidden
gem, you have to walk pass a arch way in a mews, two doors from The Duke. So
about 5:30pm to 6:00pm at The Lot for drinks and food.

They do have some meal deals with
drinks, so look at the menu. Address “The Lot” 1a Duke Street, Richmond TW9 1HP
[masked] 6423.
