Need to just sit and write for a while? Please join us for a"write-in" where everyone hammers away at the keyboard (or notepad) for two hours. We don't share our work or critique. The time is really just to connect with other writers, feel the creative juice and have some dedicated writing time however you want to use it. Here's the breakdown: Our initial meet and greet is inside the at the big table. When its time to write, we will all pick a spot to write. There are several tables inside and outside, and internet access. Please buy something from the coffee shop. We share the tables, so there's room for everyone to work. PARKING: There is a HUGE Parking lot, it shares with VONS Supermarket We can have a productive day! Here is the format: 3:30 meet and greet 4:00 Start writing 6:00 break & socializing 6:30 End Meetup. After the break, you can keep writing if you're on a roll, or you can socialize, let us know how you did, or simply leave when you need to. We'll keep it loose. The main thing is to capture a few hours of focused writing time, meet other writers and simply share our thoughts with like minded individuals. Although this is not a workshop style critique you are welcome to talk about your work if you want to.

Need to just sit and write for a while? We had a very successful "write-in" going where everyone hammers away at the keyboard (or notepad) for two hours. We stopped doing this because the venue was no longer available--so here is the NEW venue, and if it goes well--we will do this once a month. Please chip in $2 per person to help pay for the rent. Here's the breakdown: We're meeting IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM, which only holds 8 people at a giant table. If all the seats are taken, you can try sitting out in the coffee lounge where people generally are working on laptops. Also, please buy something there..so they like us and want us to come back. :) We can have a productive day! Here is the format: 4:00 meet & greet 4:30 Start writing 6:30 break & socializing 6:30-7:00 End meetup After the break, you can keep writing if you're on a roll, or you can socialize, let us know how you did, or simply leave when you need to. This is not a workshop style critique though you are welcome to talk about your work if you want to.

  • Write Club

    Coffee Bean

It's like Fight Club, but without the soap. Anyways, the meetup at Coffee Bean went fairly well even though it took a while for us to coalesce.

  • Let's get writing!

    Coffee Bean

Hey everyone... Is this group still active? Who's interested in meeting up? I was thinking the second or third week of March to give us time to plan. The Coffee Bean I suggested has a very large patio with outlets every few feet, but I'm open to wherever!
