What we're about

Are you afraid? Afraid to try out new things, meeting new people, facing new challenges, embarking on new adventures? So am I. Fear can hold us back, it can paralyze us, force us to live a boring existence and a miserable life. Fear can kill us. This group is about finding what holds us back, exploring our internal barriers and getting out there in spite of the anxiety, in spite of the fear. This group is about breaking out of our comfort zone and live a magical and exciting life. Together we'll talk about our challenges, face our fears, so that we can live ever more freely. “Often we think, »I’ll do it when I am not so afraid.« But in reality, it works the other way round. The 'doing it' comes before the fear goes away. The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.“ Susan Jeffers (Feel the fear and do it anyway)

Let's get together, face challenges and crush our comfort zone. To know more about this life philosophy, watch this video and let Till inspire you the way he inspired me to just go for it and try something adventurous:

Practical comfort zone crushing

Hötorget, utanför ingången till Scandic Haymarket

Hello Crushers, This is how the meetup is going to be structured. 1. Introduction: I'll briefly introduce the concept of Comfort Zone Challenges. 2. Talks: You’ll have the opportunity to either introduce yourself to the group, talk about their fears or what you expect to get out of this group or use this opportunity to talk about one of your passions. 3. Comfort Zone Challenges (30-60min): In groups of three everybody goes out to do challenges. If you are a rookie, your first one will be the “Lie Down Challenge” which has you lying down for 30 seconds in a crowded place (see video). 4. Roundup: After the challenges we meet up again and everybody shares his/her experience to develop strategies how to improve more the next time. So let's get together, face challenges practically and crush our comfort zone. In the end, you should get some benefits for your everyday life, so we’ll adjust and you look at your very own comfort zone. You don’t have to share anything, that’s why the challenges are done individually (nobody from the group is looking). Everyone’s zone is different for different areas, so the challenges afterwards should be tailored for you specifically, for personal improvement. For anyone wondering, the event is free.
