What we're about

Merry Met!

For over 17 years Community Seed has been providing the local Santa Cruz pagan community with opportunities to create closer bonds of perfect love and perfect trust.

We do not have or need any kind of formal membership so just show up and introduce yourself! All of our events are open to the public. Most are suitable for all ages.

Our gatherings include

monthly circles, open to all
(this is the best way to meet new folks in a low pressure environment)

four cross-quarter public Sabbats
(Imbolc, Beltaine, Lughnasadh, and Samhain)

Quarterly picnics, monthly spirit walks, and a whole host of other random witchy fun as we see fit.

Our voicemail is: (831) 469-0336 or email at info@communityseed.org

All Community Seed events are "clean and sober" - no drugs or alcohol.

We are a 501c3 Spiritual non-profit. All events are on a 'Suggested Donation' basis, and NO ONE is turned away for lack of funds.

We welcome all to take part in our celebrations; you do not have to identify yourself as a pagan to participate.

Come to meet with community, practice the magick that you bring in a group, in a circle of open minded individuals on their own paths, and maybe do some witchy arts and crafts!

After our Open Circle rituals we have tea and social time to meet and connect with those who have come to circle.

What to expect?

Let’s do what witches do and walk silently in a forest together touching the leaves of trees and taking photos of fungus while we silently pantomime to our friend (or new found friend) the cool mossy branch we found in a secret nook.

Our walk is usually less than 2 hours round trip with a stop for meditation half way in. We will walk rain or shine, however… if the forecast is very stormy, call ahead to verify.

After greeting, a small circle is held in grounding. Then we walk in silence with our attention on the magnificent beauty and our connection to this land.

At the end, we sit as a group, while a small snack is shared along with our experiences.

Please bring:

- Drinking water
- A small snack (or more to share!)
- Good Shoes
- Comfortable hiking clothes or your finest robes.

Directions: This is a series of new hiking trails located just above Scotts Valley High School. From Santa Cruz take the ’2nd’ Scotts Valley exit, Granite Creek. Continue on around and over the highway. This will leave you at a strange intersection of Granite Creek Road, Scotts Valley Drive, and Glenwood Drive. Cross (as best you can) directly across the intersection and you will be on Glenwood Drive. Continue on up 1/2 a mile until you see Scotts Valley High School.

Meet @:

There is a small parking lot for the Preserve on the right, just BEFORE the high school.
